Propolis
Propolis helps in the treatment of plaque and gingivitis. The propolis herb comes from the secretions of the bees and tree. Some toothpastes containing propolis can be used.
The quantity of propolis should be around two to ten percent. The propolis can be applied directly to the teeth and gums or with the help of cotton wherein it is difficult for the finger or toothbrush to reach.
Green Tea
The normal tea that you drink should be replaced by the green tea. Green tea helps to fight the bacterial growth on the teeth as it contains an antioxidant known as catechin.
You can drink around three cups of green tea. People face lesser gum problems and bleeding of gums that drinks green tea.
Chamomile
The chamomile herb when used for gargles is very good for all kinds of gum problems. The mouth sores will also be cured by this. You can make liquid of gargle by adding three to five spoons of German chamomile extract in a glass of water.

Myrrh

You can use toothpaste of tea tree oil. This can be obtained from an herb shop or a drug store. It is better to use tea tree toothpaste rather than applying tea tree oil directly on the teeth and gums.
Tea tree oil has an antimicrobial compound known as terpinen-4 which is very good for the treatment of gingivitis and plaque. The precaution that should be taken in tea tree oil is that you should never swallow it.
Use it for gargles, rinsing of mouth or application of it topically. Rinsing of the mouth with two spoons of tea tree oil in a glass of water is good for the cure of gingivitis.
