Raw Papaya
Raw papaya is found to be very effective in treating ringworm. Papaya contains many anti microbial properties and these help to fight against ringworm that is causes by a fungus. You will require a fresh raw papaya and then you need to peel its skin. Slice the fruit into half and then gently rub it in the area that is infected with ringworm. After this cover the area with cloth and leave it for a couple of hours.
Then open the cover and wash it with mild soap and water. You need to repeat this 3 to 4 times in a day till you are free of itchiness and scaling. You can also make a smooth paste of the seeds of the fruit and apply it on the area.
Granulated Mustard Seeds
This is an old and easy technique. You need to take some mustard seeds that are completely dry and grind them. Wash the infected area with warm to open up the pores. The n rub this granulated mustard seeds over the area and leave it uncovered for a few hours. Wash with warm water after that. You need to repeat this 3 to 4 times in a day.
Epsom Salt
Epsom salt is very effective in treating ring worm. You need to take 1 ½ tea spoon of Epsom salt in warm water and prepare a solution.
Then treat the infected area with this solution 3 to 4 times in a day. For better solution you can combine this treatment with iodine treatment. You can apply iodine directly on the infected area.
Castor Oil
Castor oil is also effective in treating ring worm infections. You need to put castor oil on the area. Do this 2 to 3 times in a day.
Garlic
Garlic is best known for its herbal anti fungal properties. You can treat ringworm by taking 6 teaspoons of garlic extract regularly. Besides you can also apply garlic paste by blending the garlic cloves in a blender.
Make sure to do this with clean cotton balls and not with your naked hands.
Licorice
Licorice is one substance that contains around twenty-five fungicidal substances. For treating ringworm you need to add 6 teaspoons of powdered licorice root to 1 cup of boiling water. Simmer it for say twenty minutes. You need to then strain out the required grassy extract, and apply this tea to the infected areas of ringworm two to three times in a day using clean cotton balls.
