I feel really sorry for those who have sensitive skin especially on their faces. Sensitive skin needs much more care than that of other types of skin whether it is normal, dry or oily. Hypersensitive skin has a class of their own. Once you have sensitive skin, you have to be very choosy not only in the selection of ready-made cosmetics but also in the selection of bio homemade skin care products.
Anemic people or people with low immunity generally have sensitive skin. There are various other causes too. The problem of sensitive skin is that it reacts highly and very quickly to outer elements like sunrays, dust, cold, hot and humid weather, etc. The intensity of sensitiveness of the skin may vary from one person to another.
Cleaning:
Cleaning is the most important work in the routine care of a sensitive skin. Do not let dirt accumulate on your skin because it may cause bacterial infection and sensitive skin reacts very badly in this bacterial infection. Nevertheless, cleaning several times does not mean using heaps of soaps on your face again and again. This will make your skin dry and dull removing necessary natural oil of the skin accompanied with unwanted dirt and oil.
For this purpose perhaps milk has no alternate. Use cold and raw milk to clean your skin. Soak a cotton ball in the milk and rub it gently on your skin. It will help to clean your skin without removing the glow of the skin. Mix milk and some rice powder and apply that paste on your skin. Keep it for sometime and then wash with plenty of water. Other products that you may mix with milk are oatmeal, lentil powder, left over handmade bread, etc.
Hydrating:
Hydrating skin is also another vital step in sensitive skin care routine. To hydrate your skin spray cucumber juice, mint juice, rose water, neem water, basil water, carrot juice, orange juice, etc. on your skin. Nonetheless, before spraying them on your skin be sure that your skin is clean enough to absorb those products.
One more thing – these juices and water must be fresh and homemade. Do not wipe your skin immediately after applying the juice or water. Close your eyes, relax and let your skin absorb the juice at least for 15-20 minutes.
Nourishing:
Nourishing of sensitive skin is also needed to improve the texture of the skin. For this purpose daily oil massage on your skin is needed. Coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil, etc. are very mild oil that may suit all types of skin. Regular oil massage helps to enhance blood supply and blood carries oxygen to each cell of the skin and makes them healthy.
Give Your Skin an Umbrella Under Sunshine and Harsh Climate:
Whenever you go out in the sun your skin needs protection not only from sunshine but also from outer harsh climate. Sprinkle sandalwood powder on your makeup before going out. In hot and humid area sandalwood provides a good umbrella. But if you live in a dry and cold area, to protect your skin you need to apply a thick layer of glycerin on your skin. All these things are a good protector of sensitive skin.
Increasing Immunity of the Skin:
You need to enhance the immunity system of your body if you have sensitive skin. Low immunity system is one of the most important causes of sensitive skin. To enhance immunity drink a glass of lemon water daily. Squeeze one whole lemon in a glass of water and drink slowly. Lemon juice is a great source of vitamin C and improves immunity.
Follow these methods and keep your sensitive skin in good health.
