Natural Treatments For Attractive Face
Face Packs
Simple face packs that can help in reducing tanning and brighten your facial skin can be easily made at home. They are as good and most of the time better than the commercial face packs available because they are light on your pocket and carry minimum risk of allergic reaction.
Depending on your skin type, you can prepare face pack for your use. If you have oily skin then Mix half a bowl of fuller’s earth with one spoon of sandalwood powder or 2 spoons of sandal wood paste with a spoon of honey and toned milk.
Blend it until there is a paste like consistency which does not drip. Apply on your face in thin layer and let it dry for about half an hour. Wash off with normal water. Gram flour mixed with 3-4 spoons of lemon juice, a teaspoon of turmeric and toned milk is also good for brightening and absorbing extra oil from the face. If you have very dry skin, then replace milk with cream and follow it up in the same way.
Steam It Up
You must have observed that all facials involve exposing facial skin to steam. The reason is that steam inflates and opens the pores, which helps in deep cleaning it and also enables it to absorb the goodness of facial treatment in form of packs. However, you must limit the steam therapy to maximum twice a month as it tends to dry out the skin if done too frequently leading to premature wrinkles and loss of glow on the face.
You can either use a humidifier or simply heat some water in the pan and expose your face to the rising steam by covering yourself and the pan under same cloth. 5-10 minutes of exposure is ideal for this purpose. Ones you have steamed up your skin, take a small spatula and run it across your chin, forehead and cheeks as if shaving. All the dirt and pollutants settled on your skin will come out with ease. It is also a great way of getting rid of the black and white heads.
You must always remember to follow up the steaming session with washing your face with cold water so that the pores shrink back to their normal size. If you dispense with this step after cleaning the face then your pores will remain open and your skin will become storage for all kinds of dust and foreign particles aggravating acne related problems.
Exfoliates
Exfoliation is an important part of beauty regimen. If done gently, then you can do it everyday while taking bath or cleaning your face. However, do limit it to ones in a day. Exfoliation involves rubbing the facial skin gently with a coarse ingredient to clean off the blackheads, whiteheads and layer of dead skin.
But you need not depend on the commercial exfoliates and exfoliating face washes. It is very easy to make exfoliates at home with all natural ingredients. Granular sugar makes for a great exfoliate. If you have oily skin then mix a spoonful of granular sugar in half a bowl of Aloe Vera gel. Aloe Vera gel moisturizes without causing oiliness.
Person with normal to dry skin can use honey instead of Aloe Vera. Strawberries are also beneficial when used with exfoliates like granular sugar.Just crush them coarsely and mix them up with granular sugar. Rub this mixture on your skin very gently especially regions inflicted with acne and blackheads. Another good exfoliate is coarsely ground red lentil. If you have dry skin then mix it up with some cream and rub on the surface of your face.
Natural Moisturizers
Moisturizing is necessary for everyone even for people who have oily skin. However, it is important to use the right type of moisturizer so that your problems around acne and pimples do not get aggravated. No one likes day long oily shine on the face. Ingredients like cream, honey, Aloe Vera are very effective natural moisturizers but cream is best used by people who have very dry skin.
For making a moisturizer out of cream, blend 2-3 drops of lavender oil in it.Use immediately and do not store. You can also apply a mixture of honey and cream on your face. Let it rest for about 5 minutes and then wash off thoroughly with cool water so that the excess oiliness gets washed away and you have perfectly moisturized skin that can last for hours together! On the other hand, Aloe Vera is very light moisturizing agent which is also anti-bacterial.
It is water based and therefore gets easily absorbed by the skin without causing a layer of oil to form on the face. It is odourless so you may add drops of any aromatic oil and store the mixture for 2-3 days.
Eat And Drink
What you eat reflects on your skin and therefore a balanced diet is very important for a healthy looking skin. Vitamin E is considered to be fountain of youth and reason is quite simple- it boosts the production of cells and tissues. This process replaces the dead skin layers and also thwarts the premature ageing and wrinkling of skin.
Vitamin E based moisturizers are popular among masses. However you can get your daily dose of vitamin E by including nuts, almonds, peanuts, pine nuts in your diet. Water and fluid intake also plays an important role by keeping the skin hydrated. Around 2 litres of water in a day is good for your skin.
You can also include or increase the intake of oranges, water melons and cucumbers in your meals as they are high on water content and individually very good for your health. Limit the intake of saturated fats, chocolates as they worsen the acne on skin. Smoking and alcohol consumption also lead to dehydration and breakage of skin and are best avoided.
