It can be sprayed over the furniture, pillows, bed sheets etc. Lavender along with mint herb is very beneficial for preventing bed bugs. Mint is an effective herb for preventing bed bugs. Prepare tea using this herb and spray it over the bed, pillow and furniture. This herb is deadly to these bed bugs. It contains menthol that helps in reducing itchiness and inflammation caused by bug bites.

8. Black Walnut
Prepare a sachet by mixing three parts of black walnut, one part of lavender, one part of mint, three parts of thyme and two parts of sweet flag. This herbal sachet has nice aroma as well as good for preventing bed bugs. Black walnut can also be used in the form of tea.
9. Aloe vera
This herb is very beneficial for the treatment of bites by bed bugs. Aloe is easily available at health stores. Wash, dry the bug bite and massage with this herb for relief. Mix ten drops of eucalyptus oil with ten drops of rosemary oil and ten drops of lavender oil in one cup of water. Add this in a spraying bottle and spray over the furniture. Shake the mixture well before use and wear gloves when using it as the oil mixture can be very dangerous for the skin.
