Asian Ginseng
Asian Ginseng belongs to the family of Araliaceae.The root of this herb is very effective and heals many health problems. It is an adaptogen that keeps a check on the hormonal balance in your body. This herb can be taken in the form of teas, extracts or capsules. You can also add it to soft drinks and soups. It has a moderate side effect of stress and it boosts the energy level of a person.
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha is an herb of the nightshade family. It helps to restore the hormonal imbalance. It has a bitter taste. If the hormonal imbalance is caused due to stress or chronic problem then ashwagandha is the best herb to treat such hormonal imbalance.
You can take this herb in the form of a decoction of the root by boiling one teaspoon powder of this root in a cup of water. It can be taken with warm milk or ghee and honey can be added to make it sweet in taste. It is not at all recommended during pregnancy.
Black Cohosh
Black Cohosh belongs to the family of Ranunculaceae.One of the component of black cohosh known as isoflavones helps in the hormonal imbalance .Primarily it was used for the treatment of hot flashes and mood fluctuations but now it is widely used for the cure of hormonal imbalance. It can be taken in the form of dark tea, capsule or root extract.
Chasteberry
Chasteberry is the part of the Verbenaceae family.It is very effective to balance the female hormones. It helps the body to secrete the hormone progesterone which is very much required at the time of deficiency of estrogen in the body.
But this herb has some serious side effects like gastrointestinal problems, dizziness and rashes. It can be taken in the form of infusion, tea or tincture. The females suffering from breast cancer should not take this herb.
