Scabies is a potentially contagious disease which affects skin. It causes skin rashes, redness, itching accompanied with pain. Onion skin is one of the effective herbal cure for scabies. Onion is rich in a compound called Quercertin that has a cooling and soothing effect. To use onion in scabies cure, you should boil six onions in a quart of water for about half an hour. When it has cooled down, rub its skin over the affected parts of the body.
It is an Indian origin herb and is quite effective against various skin ailments. You can easily apply margosa oil and massage deeply over the affected areas of the body. Margosa oil prevents bacteria and fungus trapped underneath the skin. You can also take bath with the Margosa leaves boiled in water.
Both the herbs have antiseptic properties and thus they are use for scabies prevention. Turmeric roots are rich in Curcumin. Thus, to prepare herbal medicine for scabies, one part of turmeric root is mixed with four parts of neem leaves and applied on the affected parts of the body. This is a powerful scabies cure.
It is a traditional Aboriginal cure for scabies as it contains various potent ingredients. This herb is rich in terpinen-4-ol which can kill these itching mites and their eggs and also helps soothe the irritated skin.
Tea tree oil penetrates deep into the skin and its anti-inflammatory qualities help heal the wounds. You can also take bath with tea tree oil. Mix 20 drops of concentrated oil into the bathing water or can be applied directly on the itching areas.
It is an effective herbal cure for scabies. It should be applied on the skin for four times a day for a period of seven days. It is effective against itching and gives instant relief. You can extract the juice of this herb and apply it on the affected parts of the body.
This is also an effective herbal cure for scabies. To make this emollient, you should mix 10 drops of clove oil, ½ cup of honey, ½ cup of water along with 1 cup of vegetable oil.
Mix it vigorously and apply over the affected areas of the body. Clove oil can be irritating to some, so do a patch test over the skin before applying. It should be applied before the bedtime.3
You should prepare a concentrated tea of both the herbs by mixing 1 tablespoon of the both the dried herbs with 1 cup of water. Let it steep for at least 20 minutes and then strain. Allow it to cool and then wash the affected areas as often as three times a day. Washing during the bedtime is highly recommended. It also helps cure eczema and also prevent other secondary skin infections.
