Dropsy is a condition that occurs when watery fluids are accumulated in any of the body cavities or cellular tissues. This could be caused due to some issues in the lungs, heart, kidneys, peritoneum or liver. In many cases, it is caused by crippled kidneys or heart. A dysfunctional gall bladder or liver leads to inflammation, which results in dropsy. Usually, dropsy occurs when the kidneys are not able to perform their functions properly.

Ginger is a beneficial root for treating various health issues including dropsy. For this, you need to mix some sugar in the ginger juice (about 5 tolas) and drink the first thing in the morning. Gradually, increase the amount of juice intake by adding about two to two and a half tolas of ginger every day unless you finish 25 tolas.
Once you reach this point, reduce the ginger juice intake by doing the reverse way until you reach five tolas. By now, dropsy should reduce, if the condition still remains take another course of the juice by following the same procedure. Ensure that the person suffering from this disorder is on a milk diet.
