When there is pain or discomfort experienced in the lower back area, it is referred to as Lumbago. The pain can suddenly become severe and in conditions of chronic lumbago, the agony can last for a couple of months. This disorder is degenerative and can occur in people of all ages. Sometimes, this condition can occur during pregnancy due to stretching of the ligaments surrounding the uterus, which tends to add pressure on the lower back.
When the vertebral and inter vertebral bones become soft and lose its shape this condition occurs. Garlic is a great remedy for lumbago. Oil prepared from garlic when massaged works very effectively on pain associated with this condition and also cures this problem.
You can chew on two to three cloves of garlic every morning or you can massage the area affected with an infusion of garlic oil and mustard oil. To prepare this infusion, take about ten garlic cloves and roast them a little in about sixty milliliters of mustard oil.
From ancient times, lobelia has been used to treat severe conditions of muscle spasms and pain, which has proven to be very effective in healing lumbago.
The chemical compounds found in lumbago are known to instantly relieve muscle tension and soothe sore muscles. For chronic pain, it is recommended to take this herb in small doses on a regular basis. Take about ten drops of this herbal tincture to get relief from lumbago.
